Traditional Christmas Cheese Ball

Instructions:

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, cheddar, Parmesan, green onions, pimentos, chopped nuts, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  2. Mix until fully blended and smooth.
  3. Shape the mixture into a ball using your hands or by wrapping it in plastic wrap and molding it.
  4. Roll the cheese ball in additional finely chopped nuts until thoroughly coated.
  5. Chill for at least 1 hour to allow the cheese ball to firm up and the flavors to blend.
  6. Serve with crackers, pretzels, or fresh vegetable sticks.

Variations

  • Add cooked, crumbled bacon for a smoky touch.
  • Swap sharp cheddar for pepper jack to introduce a spicy twist.
  • Mix in a spoonful of finely chopped jalapeños for extra heat.
  • Use almonds or pistachios for a different nut flavor and color.

Tips

  • Ensure the cream cheese is fully softened for easiest mixing and the best texture.
  • If the mixture is too soft to shape, chill briefly before forming the ball.
  • Roll the cheese ball just before chilling to keep the nut coating crisp.
  • Make ahead up to 48 hours—flavor improves as it rests.
