Taco Doritos Casserole Bake

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat.
  3. Stir in the taco seasoning and water. Simmer for 2 to 3 minutes, then mix in the corn.
  4. In a bowl, combine the soup, sour cream, and 1 cup of the shredded cheese until smooth.
  5. Spread half of the crushed Doritos evenly across the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
  6. Spoon the beef mixture over the Doritos, then spread the creamy cheese mixture evenly on top.
  7. Sprinkle the remaining cheese and Doritos over the casserole.
  8. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, until bubbly and lightly golden.
  9. Remove from the oven and garnish with diced tomatoes, shredded lettuce, green onions, and sour cream if desired before serving.

Variations :

  • Use ground turkey or chicken instead of beef for a lighter version.
  • Swap cheddar for a Mexican cheese blend or pepper jack for extra heat.
  • Add black beans or sliced olives for more texture and flavor.
