Smoky Maple Bourbon Glazed Party Meatballs

Instructions:

  1. Add the meatballs to a skillet or saucepan; frozen meatballs can go in straight from the freezer.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the maple syrup, bourbon, ketchup, brown sugar, Worcestershire, smoked paprika, garlic powder, and pepper.
  3. Pour the sauce over the meatballs.
  4. Bring the mixture to a simmer over medium heat.
  5. Cover and cook for 15–20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the meatballs are heated through and the glaze becomes thick and glossy.
  6. Serve warm with toothpicks or spoon over mashed potatoes or rice.

Variations

• Add red pepper flakes for sweet-heat flair.
• Swap maple syrup for honey to change the sweetness profile.
• Use chipotle BBQ sauce instead of ketchup for a smoky, spicy glaze.
• Stir in fresh herbs like thyme or rosemary for added depth.

Tips

• A splash of liquid smoke or a pinch of chipotle powder boosts the smoky flavor beautifully.
• If the glaze thickens too much, thin with a splash of broth.
• Keep warm in a slow cooker on low for parties.
• For homemade meatballs, sear them before glazing for extra flavor.
