Instructions:
- Place the beef brisket in the slow cooker with the fat side facing up.
- In a bowl, combine the BBQ sauce, onion soup mix, brown sugar, and Worcestershire sauce until well mixed.
- Pour the sauce evenly over the brisket, making sure it is well coated.
- Cover and cook on LOW for 8 hours, or until the brisket is fork-tender.
- Remove the brisket and let it rest for about 10 minutes. Slice or shred, then spoon extra sauce over the top before serving.
Variations
- Use a smoky or spicy BBQ sauce for a different flavor profile.
- Add sliced onions to the slow cooker for extra depth.
- Stir a splash of apple cider vinegar into the sauce for brightness.
- Serve the brisket on toasted buns for easy BBQ sandwiches.
Tips
- Cooking on low yields the most tender brisket; avoid rushing it on high.
- Letting the meat rest helps retain juices before slicing.
- For a caramelized finish, brush sliced brisket with extra sauce and broil for a few minutes before serving.
- Leftovers reheat beautifully and make excellent sandwiches or tacos.
