Ruth’s Chris–Style Garlic Butter Prime Rib Sliders

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Slice slider buns horizontally and place the bottom halves in a baking dish.
  3. Layer the sliced prime rib evenly over the buns.
  4. Place cheese slices over the meat, covering evenly.
  5. Add the top halves of the buns.
  6. In a small bowl, combine melted butter, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, thyme, black pepper, and a pinch of salt.
  7. Brush the garlic butter generously over the tops of the sliders.
  8. Cover loosely with foil and bake for 10 minutes, until heated through and cheese is melted.
  9. Remove foil and bake an additional 5 minutes, until the tops are golden and glossy.
  10. Serve warm with au jus or horseradish sauce if desired.

Variations

  • Use caramelized onions or sautéed mushrooms for extra steakhouse flair.
  • Swap provolone for Gruyère or white cheddar for a different cheese profile.
  • Add a thin layer of horseradish sauce inside the sliders before baking.

Tips

  • Warm the prime rib briefly in au jus before assembling for extra juiciness.
  • Do not overbake—just heat until melty to keep the beef tender.
  • Let sliders rest a few minutes before cutting to keep layers intact.
