Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Slice slider buns horizontally and place the bottom halves in a baking dish.
- Layer the sliced prime rib evenly over the buns.
- Place cheese slices over the meat, covering evenly.
- Add the top halves of the buns.
- In a small bowl, combine melted butter, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, thyme, black pepper, and a pinch of salt.
- Brush the garlic butter generously over the tops of the sliders.
- Cover loosely with foil and bake for 10 minutes, until heated through and cheese is melted.
- Remove foil and bake an additional 5 minutes, until the tops are golden and glossy.
- Serve warm with au jus or horseradish sauce if desired.
Variations
- Use caramelized onions or sautéed mushrooms for extra steakhouse flair.
- Swap provolone for Gruyère or white cheddar for a different cheese profile.
- Add a thin layer of horseradish sauce inside the sliders before baking.
Tips
- Warm the prime rib briefly in au jus before assembling for extra juiciness.
- Do not overbake—just heat until melty to keep the beef tender.
- Let sliders rest a few minutes before cutting to keep layers intact.
