Pineapple Bourbon BBQ Party Meatballs

Instructions:

  1. Add the frozen meatballs to a large skillet or saucepan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the BBQ sauce, pineapple juice, bourbon, brown sugar, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, and smoked paprika.
  3. Pour the sauce over the meatballs and stir to coat evenly.
  4. Simmer over medium heat for 15–20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens and the meatballs are heated through.
  5. If using pineapple tidbits, stir them in during the last few minutes of cooking.
  6. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve warm with toothpicks.

Variations

  • Use spicy BBQ sauce for a sweet-heat version.
  • Swap bourbon for rum or omit the alcohol entirely if preferred.
  • Add red pepper flakes for extra heat.
  • Stir in bell pepper chunks for added color and texture.

Tips

  • Broil the meatballs for 2–3 minutes before serving for caramelized, sticky perfection.
  • If the sauce becomes too thick, thin with a splash of pineapple juice.
  • Keep warm in a slow cooker on LOW for parties.
  • For a lighter version, use turkey or chicken meatballs.
