Instructions:
- Whisk together the orange juice, lime juice, soy sauce, olive oil, vinegar, and Worcestershire sauce.
- Add the garlic, jalapeño slices, cilantro, pepper, oregano, cumin, and salt. Mix thoroughly.
- Place the steak in a large dish or zip-top bag and pour the marinade over it.
- Refrigerate and marinate for 2–4 hours, or overnight for maximum flavor.
- Grill over high heat for 3–5 minutes per side, until charred and juicy.
- Let rest for 5 minutes, then slice thinly against the grain.
- Serve with rice, beans, tortillas, and your favorite toppings.
Variations
- Add chili flakes or serrano peppers for more heat.
- Swap soy sauce for Maggi seasoning for a classic taquería depth.
- Add a splash of pineapple juice for sweetness and tenderizing power.
- Use the marinade for chicken thighs or pork chops as well.
Tips
- Add 1 tablespoon of beer to the marinade for extra tenderness and deeper flavor.
- Don’t over-marinate — the citrus can break down the meat too much.
- Grill over very high heat for the best char and juicy interior.
- Always slice against the grain for the most tender results.
