Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 375°F.
- Slice the bread lengthwise, being careful not to cut all the way through so it forms a “boat.”
- Spread a generous layer of pizza sauce inside the bread.
- Add mozzarella cheese, then layer in the cooked ground beef, Italian sausage, bacon pieces, and mini pepperoni.
- Sprinkle Italian seasoning and garlic powder evenly over the top.
- Bake for 15 to 20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Slice and serve warm with extra pizza sauce on the side.
Variations
- Add sautéed mushrooms, onions, or bell peppers for a supreme-style version.
- Use provolone, cheddar, or a pizza cheese blend for a different flavor profile.
- Swap the ground beef for chopped meatballs for an even heartier loaf.
- Add a drizzle of spicy marinara or hot honey before serving for extra flavor.
- Top with fresh basil after baking for a bright, herbal finish.
Tips
- Brush the inside of the bread with garlic butter before adding toppings for a richer, pizzeria-style flavor.
- Use freshly shredded mozzarella for the best melt and texture.
- Line your baking sheet with foil for easy cleanup—this bread gets wonderfully melty.
- Let the loaf cool for 2 to 3 minutes before slicing to help the layers set.
- Serve immediately for the ultimate gooey experience.
