Jalapeño Popper Sausage Skewers

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  2. Thread two sausages onto each skewer, placing them side by side.
  3. Grill for 5–7 minutes, turning occasionally until heated through and lightly charred.
  4. Spread a layer of cream cheese across the top of each skewer.
  5. Sprinkle cheddar over the cream cheese and let it melt over the heat.
  6. Add bacon, jalapeños, garlic powder, and paprika.
  7. Grill for 1–2 more minutes until everything is melted, smoky, and gooey.

Variations

  • Use pepper jack instead of cheddar for extra spice.
  • Swap jalapeños for serranos if you want more heat.
  • Add caramelized onions for a sweet contrast.
  • Try bratwurst or andouille for different flavor profiles.

Tips

  • Soak wooden skewers for at least 20 minutes to prevent burning.
  • For extra smoky flavor, finish with a drizzle of chipotle BBQ sauce.
  • Keep the grill lid closed briefly after adding the cheese for faster melting.
  • Slice the sausages before threading if you want easier serving for a crowd.
