Honey Jalapeño Drizzle Glaze

Instructions:

  1. In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
  2. Stir in the honey, diced jalapeños, vinegar or lemon juice, garlic powder, and salt.
  3. Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer for 2 to 3 minutes, allowing the jalapeños to soften and the flavors to blend.
  4. Remove from heat and let the glaze cool for 2 to 3 minutes.
  5. Drizzle warm glaze over meats, vegetables, or anything that could use a sweet–spicy finish.

Variations

  • Swap jalapeños for serranos or habaneros if you love more heat.
  • Add a teaspoon of Dijon for a tangy, savory edge.
  • Stir in a splash of soy sauce for a deeper, umami-rich glaze.
  • Add orange zest or lime zest for a bright citrus twist.
  • Use smoked honey for a rustic, smoky flavor.

Tips

  • Let the glaze sit for 10 minutes before serving—this thickens it slightly and deepens the infusion of jalapeño heat.
  • For a smoother glaze, strain out the jalapeño pieces before drizzling.
  • If it thickens too much as it cools, warm it gently to loosen the texture.
  • Double the batch and store in the refrigerator; reheat gently before using.
  • Brush onto grilled meats during the final minutes of cooking for a caramelized finish.
