Green Chile Cheeseburgers

Instructions:

  1. Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. In a bowl, gently mix the ground beef with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Avoid overworking the meat.
  3. Divide into 4 equal portions and shape into patties slightly larger than the buns.
  4. Grill or cook the patties for 4 to 5 minutes per side, or until they reach your preferred doneness.
  5. During the last minute of cooking, spoon roasted green chiles evenly over each patty and top with a slice of cheese.
  6. Cover briefly to allow the cheese to melt completely.
  7. Place patties on toasted buns and add your desired toppings. Serve immediately.

Variations :

  • Mix finely chopped green chiles directly into the beef for flavor throughout.
  • Add crispy bacon for extra richness.
  • Use brioche buns for a slightly sweeter contrast.

Tips :

  • Make a small indentation in the center of each patty before cooking to prevent puffing.
  • Let the burgers rest for a few minutes after cooking to retain juices.
  • A drizzle of chipotle mayo or a fried egg on top adds an indulgent finishing touch.
