Green Chile Cheese Dip

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until fully browned. Drain off any excess grease and set aside.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, diced green chiles, salsa, garlic powder, cumin, and half of the shredded cheeses. Mix until smooth.
  4. Fold in the cooked ground beef, stirring until everything is evenly combined.
  5. Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and spread it out evenly. Sprinkle the remaining cheese over the top.
  6. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes, or until the dip is hot, bubbly, and lightly golden on top.
  7. Serve warm with tortilla chips, crackers, or fresh vegetables.

Variations :

  • Swap ground beef for spicy sausage or chorizo for extra depth of flavor.
  • Use pepper jack cheese instead of Monterey Jack for more heat.
  • Stir in black beans or corn for a heartier, Tex-Mex style dip.

Tips :

  • Make sure the cream cheese is fully softened to ensure a smooth, creamy texture.
  • For a thicker dip, reduce the salsa slightly or choose a chunky variety.
  • This dip can be prepared ahead of time and baked just before serving for stress-free entertaining.
