Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until fully browned. Drain off any excess grease and set aside.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, diced green chiles, salsa, garlic powder, cumin, and half of the shredded cheeses. Mix until smooth.
- Fold in the cooked ground beef, stirring until everything is evenly combined.
- Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and spread it out evenly. Sprinkle the remaining cheese over the top.
- Bake for 15 to 20 minutes, or until the dip is hot, bubbly, and lightly golden on top.
- Serve warm with tortilla chips, crackers, or fresh vegetables.
Variations :
- Swap ground beef for spicy sausage or chorizo for extra depth of flavor.
- Use pepper jack cheese instead of Monterey Jack for more heat.
- Stir in black beans or corn for a heartier, Tex-Mex style dip.
Tips :
- Make sure the cream cheese is fully softened to ensure a smooth, creamy texture.
- For a thicker dip, reduce the salsa slightly or choose a chunky variety.
- This dip can be prepared ahead of time and baked just before serving for stress-free entertaining.
