Easy Homemade Cinnamon Twists

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a small bowl, mix the cinnamon and sugar.
  3. Brush the puff pastry sheet with melted butter, then sprinkle generously with the cinnamon sugar mixture.
  4. Slice the pastry into strips and twist each strip several times to create spiraled shapes.
  5. If using cream cheese filling, spread a thin layer over the pastry before slicing and twisting.
  6. Place the twists on the prepared baking sheet and brush the tops with more melted butter, followed by another sprinkle of cinnamon sugar.
  7. Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until golden, flaky, and puffed.
  8. If desired, drizzle with a simple powdered sugar glaze while still warm.
