Instructions:
- In a bowl, mix shredded chicken, ranch dressing, cream cheese, garlic powder, black pepper, cheddar, mozzarella, and bacon until creamy and fully combined.
- Butter one side of each bread slice.
- Spread a thick, even layer of the chicken mixture onto the unbuttered side of a slice.
- Top with another bread slice, buttered side facing out.
- Grill in a skillet over medium heat for 3–4 minutes per side until golden, crisp, and fully melted inside.
- Slice and serve hot.
Variations
- Add sliced jalapeños or pickled jalapeños for extra heat.
- Drizzle hot honey inside the melt for a sweet–spicy contrast.
- Swap cheddar for pepper jack for a bolder flavor.
- Add thin tomato slices for a fresh, juicy layer.
Tips
- Keep the heat medium to prevent burning the bread before the cheese melts.
- Press gently with a spatula while cooking for an even melt and crispier edges.
- For an even creamier filling, add an extra tablespoon of ranch or cream cheese.
