Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F.
  2. Wrap each smokie with a piece of bacon and secure with a toothpick.
  3. Arrange the wrapped smokies on a baking sheet lined with foil or parchment.
  4. In a bowl, combine cranberry sauce, brown sugar, maple syrup, garlic powder, and black pepper.
  5. Spoon or brush the cranberry glaze generously over each bacon-wrapped smokie.
  6. Bake for 30–40 minutes, or until the bacon is crisp and the glaze is caramelized.
  7. Brush with extra glaze after baking for added shine and flavor.

Variations

• Swap cranberry sauce for cherry or raspberry preserves for a fruity twist.
• Add a pinch of cayenne or crushed red pepper for sweet heat.
• Use thick-cut bacon for extra texture and smoky richness.
• Skewer several smokies together and glaze as a shareable appetizer stick.

Tips

• Broil during the last 2–3 minutes for a caramelized, sticky finish — watch carefully to prevent burning.
• Line your baking sheet well; the glaze will bubble as it cooks.
• For extra crispiness, flip the smokies halfway through baking.
• Serve with extra cranberry glaze or a Dijon dipping sauce for a flavor boost.
