Cheesesteak Stuffed Garlic Bread Loaf

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F.
  2. Slice the top off the loaf and hollow out the center to create a bread boat.
  3. In a skillet, cook the ground beef or shaved steak until browned. Add the onion, peppers, and garlic; cook until the vegetables soften.
  4. Season with Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  5. Mix the melted butter with parsley and brush it generously inside the hollowed loaf.
  6. Fill the loaf with the cheesesteak mixture, pressing it in firmly.
  7. Top with mozzarella and provolone, covering the filling completely.
  8. Bake for 15–20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and lightly golden.
  9. Slice and serve hot.

Variations

  • Add sautéed mushrooms for extra richness.
  • Swap mozzarella for pepper jack to add a spicy kick.
  • Use garlic bread from the start for even more flavor.
  • Add a drizzle of cheese sauce before baking for a classic cheesesteak vibe.
  • Mix in jalapeños for heat.

Tips

  • Hollow the loaf deeply but leave enough bread so it stays sturdy.
  • Lightly toast the loaf for 5 minutes before filling if you want an extra-crisp crust.
  • Shred your own cheese for the smoothest melt.
  • Let the loaf rest for 3 minutes before slicing to help it hold its shape.
