Instructions:
- Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken and sear until golden on all sides.
- Reduce the heat to medium. Add the butter and garlic, sautéing for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Stir in the brown sugar, balsamic vinegar, soy sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- Let the mixture simmer for 8–10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the glaze thickens and coats the chicken beautifully.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.
Variations
- Add 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes for a spicy kick.
- Stir in a splash of chicken broth for additional sauce.
- Swap soy sauce for Worcestershire to bring deeper savory notes.
- Add sliced mushrooms or cherry tomatoes during the simmering step for added texture.
Tips
- Don’t overcrowd the pan—give the chicken space to sear properly for the best flavor.
- Let the glaze reduce slowly; it will thicken more as it cools slightly.
- Use thighs if you prefer extra-juicy, tender pieces.
- Serve immediately so the glaze stays glossy and rich.
