Brown Sugar Balsamic Chicken

Instructions:

  1. Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken and sear until golden on all sides.
  2. Reduce the heat to medium. Add the butter and garlic, sautéing for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. Stir in the brown sugar, balsamic vinegar, soy sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  4. Let the mixture simmer for 8–10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the glaze thickens and coats the chicken beautifully.
  5. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.

Variations

  • Add 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes for a spicy kick.
  • Stir in a splash of chicken broth for additional sauce.
  • Swap soy sauce for Worcestershire to bring deeper savory notes.
  • Add sliced mushrooms or cherry tomatoes during the simmering step for added texture.

Tips

  • Don’t overcrowd the pan—give the chicken space to sear properly for the best flavor.
  • Let the glaze reduce slowly; it will thicken more as it cools slightly.
  • Use thighs if you prefer extra-juicy, tender pieces.
  • Serve immediately so the glaze stays glossy and rich.
