Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Slice each biscuit in half horizontally to create a top and bottom.
- Place a scoop of shredded beef on the bottom half of each biscuit, then top with a square of cheese.
- Replace the biscuit tops and arrange all biscuits on a greased baking sheet.
- Mix the melted butter with garlic powder and dried parsley, then brush the tops of each biscuit.
- Bake for 15–20 minutes, or until the biscuits are puffed, golden brown, and the cheese inside has melted.
- Serve warm with hot au jus on the side for dipping.
Variations
- Add caramelized onions inside the biscuits for a sweeter, richer filling.
- Use Swiss cheese for a slightly sharper, more traditional French dip flavor.
- Mix a spoonful of horseradish into the shredded beef for a zesty kick.
- Sprinkle the biscuit tops with a pinch of Parmesan before baking for added flavor.
Tips
- Brush the tops with a little au jus before baking for a deeper beef flavor.
- If the biscuits brown too quickly, tent loosely with foil during the last few minutes.
- Warm the shredded beef before assembling to help the cheese melt faster.
- Serve immediately—these biscuits taste best fresh from the oven with hot au jus.
