Baked French Dip Biscuits

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Slice each biscuit in half horizontally to create a top and bottom.
  3. Place a scoop of shredded beef on the bottom half of each biscuit, then top with a square of cheese.
  4. Replace the biscuit tops and arrange all biscuits on a greased baking sheet.
  5. Mix the melted butter with garlic powder and dried parsley, then brush the tops of each biscuit.
  6. Bake for 15–20 minutes, or until the biscuits are puffed, golden brown, and the cheese inside has melted.
  7. Serve warm with hot au jus on the side for dipping.

Variations

  • Add caramelized onions inside the biscuits for a sweeter, richer filling.
  • Use Swiss cheese for a slightly sharper, more traditional French dip flavor.
  • Mix a spoonful of horseradish into the shredded beef for a zesty kick.
  • Sprinkle the biscuit tops with a pinch of Parmesan before baking for added flavor.

Tips

  • Brush the tops with a little au jus before baking for a deeper beef flavor.
  • If the biscuits brown too quickly, tent loosely with foil during the last few minutes.
  • Warm the shredded beef before assembling to help the cheese melt faster.
  • Serve immediately—these biscuits taste best fresh from the oven with hot au jus.
