Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Arrange the shrimp in a large baking dish.
- In a bowl, whisk together the melted butter, Cajun seasoning, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, cayenne (if using), and lemon juice.
- Pour the seasoned butter over the shrimp and toss until evenly coated.
- Spread the shrimp into a single, even layer.
- Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until the shrimp are pink, juicy, and lightly golden around the edges.
- Stir gently to coat with the sauce, then sprinkle with fresh parsley before serving.
Variations
- Add sliced smoked sausage to the pan for a heartier meal.
- Sprinkle Parmesan on top during the last few minutes for a cheesy finish.
- Swap lemon for lime and add a pinch of chili powder for a Tex-Mex twist.
- Serve over buttered noodles or creamy mashed potatoes for a richer entrée.
Tips
- Avoid overbaking—shrimp cook quickly and become tough if left in too long.
- Pat the shrimp dry before seasoning to help them bake more evenly.
- For deeper flavor, marinate the shrimp in the Cajun butter for 10–15 minutes before baking.
- Use high-quality Cajun seasoning; blends vary widely in heat and saltiness.
