Pintos with Ham, Fried Potatoes & Homemade Cornbread

This is true Southern comfort food at its finest. Pintos with ham, fried potatoes, and homemade cornbread come together to create a meal that’s humble, hearty, and deeply satisfying—just like something served at a family table on a quiet evening.

The pinto beans simmer low and slow with smoky ham, onion, and garlic until they’re creamy and rich, filling the kitchen with that unmistakable “home cooking” aroma. Every spoonful is savory and comforting, especially when paired with a bit of that flavorful broth.

Golden fried potatoes add the perfect contrast, crisp on the outside and tender inside, with onions bringing just a hint of sweetness. They’re simple, rustic, and exactly what this kind of meal calls for.

And then there’s the cornbread—warm, buttery, and lightly sweet. It’s made for crumbling into beans or soaking up every last drop of broth. Together, these three dishes create a timeless meal that feels like home.
